Welcome to Remnant Fellowship, members and visitors! We value the health and safety of all of our members, just as Scripture has encouraged us to take care of our bodies. Each person has different needs and are at different risk levels for contagious diseases. As always, even before the Coronavirus outbreak, we have continually requested that anyone with any symptoms to please stay home. For centuries this has been, by far, the biggest advice to avoid spreading unwanted viruses. The Jewish people always taught isolation for those who were sick and to stay outside the camp for 7-14 days. This is not a new teaching but an ancient health precaution. Our highly skilled Medical Committee, of which some are directly working with the toughest COVID-19 cases at Vanderbilt University, are diligently continuing to monitor government guidelines and recommendations from medical professionals to keep you safe and healthy, while balancing the incredible need for spiritual encouragement.
Remnant Fellowship Precautions and Various Personal Choices
We want everyone to feel comfortable with their personal health decisions and to feel safe in our assemblies. Masks are welcome but not required, as there is a huge divide in opinions. For social distancing, we offer five locations for worship in the building, including areas for maximum social distancing (which would include our Lion of Judah Fellowship Hall and our very large Lower Hall for even more extensive social distancing) and even outdoor areas. Finally we offer webcasts at home. Please feel free to select one of the more open areas or to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable with one.
In summary, we will, as always, continue in the strongest way to prevent the spread of any sickness, and that is to encourage staying home when you have fever or the slightest symptoms. This, along with our very large Cleaning Committee, helps to keep our environment as sterile as possible. We encourage those who are vulnerable – either through age or medical conditions – or who simply feel uncomfortable returning to in-person worship, to please continue to stay home and take advantage of our many webcast opportunities.
